After a challenging few years, we look forward to bringing you a safe event that once again celebrates our heritage - from our rural traditions to our modern-day lifestyles.

To keep our community safe while delivering the iconic Sydney Royal Easter Show, we are working closely with NSW Health to ensure the Show is compliant with all COVIDSafe requirements as directed by the NSW Government.

To make sure we can come together safely, key COVIDSafe measures for 2022 include:

• Updated layout to enable increased physical distancing and 'air flow'.

• COVID-19 event signage overlay and appropriate audio messaging.

• New digital ‘carnival fun pass’ replacing retired coupon system.

• Cashless purchasing options at all retail and catering outlets.

 

Do you have symptoms of COVID19?

If you are unwell or develop symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result, do not attend the event.  To find your nearest clinic, visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others/clinics.

COVID-19 Safety

Yes, hand washing facilities will be provided at all animal petting sites and across the venue as is standard practice at the event for bio-security purposes. These facilities will also be accompanied by signage to remind people to sanitise/wash hands before and after all activities.

Yes, there will be frequent surface cleaning and sanitisation conducted by hygiene officers. This will include pre-event, during and post-event cleaning, with particular emphasis on high touch points.

All patrons, clients, exhibitors and contractors will sign-in via a unique barcode on their ticket or photo ID upon entry. There is no additional requirement to check in via QR Code. 

The RAS recommends that you download and activate the NSW Service App to use at surrounding venues.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is working closely with the NSW Government and NSW Health to ensure that safety of our attendees is paramount. The RAS will continue to operate following all relevant up to date public health orders and restrictions. In addition, we will voluntarily implement measures to facilitate social distancing across the venue including a self-imposed daily attendance capacity. Confirmed figures will be agreed closer to the event date and will be subject to change. Ticket sales will be available via our ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, with online purchases encouraged to avoid disappointment.

No, in line with NSW Health recommendations, face masks are not compulsory onsite during the Show nor during bump in and bump out. However, should wearing a face mask make you feel more comfortable then we would encourage you to do so.

There is no Government restriction in place requiring this, however the Royal Agricultural Society has elected to operate at a self-imposed reduced capacity to enable us to manage social distancing more effectively and to provide a safe environment. Confirmed figures will be agreed closer to the event date and will be subject to change.
