The core objective of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is to support sustainable agricultural development and rural communities in NSW, alongside a vision for a community that understands and values Australian agriculture. The RAS invests nearly $7 million annually in activities designed to promote agricultural excellence and keep rural communities strong.

Commemorative Medallion

As we mark the anniversary of our establishment on 5 July 1822 it is important to recognise the importance of our bicentenary with a medal worthy of our status as guardian for the agricultural heritage of New South Wales. The 2022 Commemorative Medallion is a limited release of 200, each solid sterling silver, antique finish medallion is individually numbered and packaged in a presentation case, offered exclusively to Members of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. Honouring our past and embracing our future, the medallion is engraved with our Coat of Arms and the wreath of agriculture, along with depictions of our locations – Parramatta, Prince Alfred Park, Moore Park and Sydney Olympic Park. The release of the 2022 Commemorative Medallion is strictly limited to 200 medallions. Medallion dimensions - 50mm diameter x 4mm thick RAS Members please call the Membership office on 02 9704 1144 to order your medallion.
